How do I wash alpaca products?

Check the label to see if the product is 100% alpaca or a blend of other yarns.

Products that are 100% alpaca fibre are best washed by hand or on a cold cycle in the washing machine on delicate cycle. Use a mild detergent. Lay flat to dry. Don’t put them in the dryer.

How do I wash alpaca socks?

Alpaca socks are generally made from a combination of alpaca wool, bamboo and other materials. Alpaca socks should be washed by hand with a mild detergent and layed flat to dry. As alpaca wool is antibacterial, your socks do not need to be washed every time they are worn. Simply let them air out overnight and slip them back on in the morning.

What are dryer balls?

Dryer balls are an eco-friendly alternative to disposable dryer sheets. They help decrease drying
time—which saves energy and money—and they soften laundry because of tumbling action.
Dryer balls are safe for people with sensitive skin, and you can scent them with your favourite
essential oil.

You can select in-store pick-up from our Merrickville shop (located at 318 St. Lawrence St) or the Ottawa Farmer’s Market Landsdowne location.

If you select in-store pickup in Merrickville, you will receive an email when your order is ready. Orders are typically ready for pickup in 24hrs.

When you choose pick-up at the Ottawa Farmer’s Market, we will email you when you order is ready to be picked up. We offer pick-up at the Ottawa Farmer's Market every January, February and December.
